Balloon Fiesta

Balloon Fiesta is the most widely photographed event in the world. This year's celebration was pretty great! The weather was awesome. The past few years the weather was rainy and windy; not conducive for 700 balloons in the air. Unfortunately, there were several injuries and one fatality due to crashes. Sunita, myself, Toni and Lori went on the opening day mass ascension. You just have not lived until you have tried to bribe, scare and sweet talk your way into the right lane on the highway to exit off to the balloon grounds at 4:30 in the morning. Sunita was particularly good at this and she may have come up with a great scheme to scam out of towners; selling balloon-landing-on-your-car-insurance. "Oh, thankyou, may a balloon not land on your car.... Oh no, it happens more than you would think!"(spoken very sternly to a van load of Texans who let us in).

I also believe that a picture taking scavenger hunt is in order for next year. We could have teams and the first to come in with all the pics could win a prize. Examples of scavenger photos could be:
a pirate, spam, zebra,police, old frends, reporters, geckos....
