Taksim Square Happenings

The Beer Bar at Taksim Square. Some old wierd dude sat down next to me and tried to get me to dance with him. I thought he just wanted to take the extra chair. oops. BB-jenny strikes again!

We are now in Goreme, home of fairy chimneys, carpet salesmen, and sick/injured travelers. That would be us, Jenny sprained her foot while hiking in Termessos, and Sunita is suffering from illness. This place is infested with tourist longing for a glimpse at the world cup action. The local pub is always crowded. We visited a 12th century monestary, dug weeds with a local grandma, and found ourselves wondering aimlessly amongst a sh*tload of tourist in the open air museum. Are we having fun yet? Yes...

Antalya, TR

We have been in Antalya; a seaside city on the Med. now for two days. We like it but the shopping is better in Istanbul. Today we go to Hamam and get the shit beat out of us followed by hot massage. I will try to get more pictures up. Sunita puts a lot up on the face book. I know many of you don't have it; but I promise to do my best.
Having a great time. It is nice and warm; getting tan. Tommorrow we are going snorkeling and or scuba diving on nice sail boat; or who knows? maybe rafting!

We are in Pamaluke,TR

Hey Folks,
Sorry there have not been many posts but the internet has been sparse the last few places we have visited. We have arrived at a great little village(driving all over Turkey)where people go for healing waters and great travertines of calcium deposits. We hope to be here for two days and do some laundry;finally! Staying at the Venus Pension. Having a great time and now we will finally get to put some pics up sometime tonight(keep fingers crossed!)

Izmir

Today we got to Izmir. our one hour flight took 3 and we had to push past babushka ladies! Sarah met us at the airport. Her place is great. We went out for a drink and then a little food. The sunsetting on the Aegean was beautiful but none of remembered to take a camera. tommorow we are renting a car and going to Ephesus. Will try again to post pics. But it seems so damn slow....

We are planning on leaving Istanbul, heading to Izmir tomorrow. Jenny got the crud...besides that,we are fine.
